This month's MFT's Creative Challenge is using MFT's products to create beautiful backgrounds. This was a challenge that I was really excited to participate in-I had so many ideas. But of course time always gets in my way, argh. For my first card I used various MFT's products to create a layered multi-pattern background. I used stencils and did some masking with post-it's to create my striped background-it was almost perfectly done(except for the top right)! The second card I kept it simple and straight to the point with background stamps.
If you haven't checked out the MFT's Blog be sure to do so-there are more projects there and you can find all the DT blog links for a lot more beautiful inspiration and ideas with backgrounds.
Hello! This months Creative Construction with Blueprints we are focusing on the sets with flowers-BP's 3, 5, 12, 14, and 19. For the card that I made today I mixed the flowers from BP's 5 & 14. I love the flowers from BP's 5, they have a sweet embossed detail and notched petals ends in three sizes. BP's 14 has a cute large funky flower-but its the leaf that I really love (and totally forgot to use today, argh). Even without the cute leaf I like how well the flowers from these two sets look together!
There is more inspiration with Blueprints on the MFT's Blog. If you haven't tried any of the Blueprints die-namics I hope you have been inspired to give them a try.
It is 10pm and the new release products are now in the MFT's shop just waiting for you! It's is exciting and stressful-it's not easy if you have to make hard choices. It takes me forever picking things out in the shop, sometimes I have to walk away for a while! I think that you should keep the new Cross Stitch STAXs in mind-like the square I used on my card today. The little x's are a nice new detail that I haven't seen before. I love it when the die edges have a simple detail. Also, think about the Build-able Blooms! I hope you have fun shopping!

It was nice to hear all the lovely comments on the LLD's Flamingo die-namics-I am sure that will sell out fast! OK, what's new today? Build-able Blooms stamp set & Build-able Blooms die-namics and Decor & More Alphabet die-namic. I love how funky & cool the blooms are-so many fun combinations you can come up with. They have such a wonderful modern retro look.
And then the new extra large Decore & More alphabet-I used mine to decorate a Target shadow box. I painted my letter K with thick gold paint-it turned out pretty chic. Now I have a few of my favorite glass & mother of pearl buttons beautifully displayed on my studio shelf.

Boy, did I play up my graphic side with color and patterns! One of the sneak peeks today are four new STAX sets- Cross-Stitch Circles STAX, Cross-Stitch Square STAX, Cross-Stitch Rectangles STAX and Cross-Stitch Oval STAX die-namics. I used the rectangles & circles on my cards today. The first card I did some masking with my stencils to give the circle a cool stripe mix to play off the Sweater Stitch background stamp(i love that stamp). And then LLD's Flamingos die-namics & Tickled Pink stamp set is super flirty! I love seeing all the amazing ideas that were done with the flamingo by the dt girls-they are so creative. They make this simple girl wish I had done that too!

Today is the halfway point of the countdown! Just a couple more days of sneak peeks, just a couple more days before you will be able to start shopping! Taking center stage today for my peeks is the Take the Stage die-namics. How cute are these stage curtains! Just think of all the possibilities you can create performing on this stage. I love having a simple balloon floating up on stage! Of course there are adorable new performers that are also featured on the MFT's Blog & other DT blogs.

Welcome to the farm? Day 2 of the MFT's new release countdown is all about farm life! The Whole Herd stamp set, The Whole Herd die-namics, Cow Print stencil and the Barn die-namics are the products that I used to make my cards today. I am really digging the cow print!
