Last Valentine I made a project I called love specimen-because I was thinking about how bug specimens are pinned down...I know, it's funny where inspiration can come from! Over the weekend I made another one. Everything is stamped with many of my favorite stamps.
Hey! You remembered! That's how you keep your fans! Ok. I got it.....thanks for your posts this week....such great ideas.....I've been pinning your stuff.....your camera takes such sharp, crisp images....thank you, Keisha!
It's hard having new stuff that you can't use right away! One of Teresa Collins Design's new line Stationery Noted-the first card is actually a mini file folder. This line works perfectly for making Valentine projects.
Wow, did this week go by fast! For my last inspiration I made these giant heart picks to stick in my plants. I made a few last year and I wanted a couple more a little bigger. I had planned on doing a couple more cards for today's post-but I have been out most of the week. This is not the end of my Valentine projects(I have more ideas swirling in my head), so there is more to come up until Feb 14th!!
Keisha...girl, you keep inspiring me....but I have two questions for you...first, what do you do with all those tags you make? I know you must have tons by now...I also remember that you do frame some of them..but the rest?? also, how do you stamp and emboss so neatly? you have no messy glitter left over...I have tried and tried to make my stamping come out neat but it never does....love your pictures...always so neat to see what's next on the Keisha site ;)
OK, Crumley...here is what helps me to have crisp & clean embossing! Just swipe this over the spot you want to stamp and the powder/glitter falls off the area that is not stamped!!
Today I am sharing a simple white heart garland, I meant for it to have a bit more pink-the dangling love letters started out pink. Then I changed the letter stamps and went with black ink-I kinda wish I kept the pink letters. Oh well!
Since I had a creative weekend I thought I would share some inspiration all week long. Even though I think I had a bit of that nasty flu that is going around, I was able to work in my studio all weekend. It has been awhile since I have spent so much time in my studio-with creative ideas in my head. I hope that this will be a fun week; I think it will be nice having a new post for 5 DAYS straight!
Keisha Santa did visit your house!!! Love the boots! Right after I read your cleaning tips, I went to Target and bought two bottles of Febreeze. I've been spraying Morgan's beds (my four legged daughter), and its really helped!!!! Love Lavaughn's watch!!!! Happy New Year!! Kathy
Happy New Year Kathy!! I swear by spraying Febreze on Lulu's stuff & spots-it's nice that it makes her smell good too. I tried to buy her some of those dogs sprays and it breaks her out with bumps. Awe, I love the name Morgan for a dog-glad it has helped you too!!
Keisha: I've been following you for over a year because I remember your posts last Christmas. I LOVE THEM ALL. I live vicariously through you since I don't really have much of a creative bone in my body (smile). I just wanted to comment that you need to put hubby in more pictures...he's really handsome in a rugged, manly way and that's so pleasant to see. So glad all of you had such a wonderful Christmas...and Lulu does look like she really enjoyed some "Joy to the World"!!!
OMG, Laura...I have to live with him-you can't say things like that so openly, lol;-)!!! I could not wait to show him your commit, he usually reads my blog...but I was able to share your comment with him before he saw it. I teased him a bit, he loves getting some attention here too. When I posted my very first layout on 2p's in 2003 it was a page with him & our first dog-he so was eager to hear the comments from that post-I was tickled by that then!! Thank you, I think he will pop up more here.
OK, I am in total Valentine's Day project mode! Which is my favorite holiday to make stuff for-I love it!! I keep one drawer just for all my Valentine supplies, so that they're right on hand. I have been pulling out all my stamps and I might need to restock my metallic embossing powders! And I am loving this color scheme-grey, pink, red, and white-with metallic gold/silver. I am going to have fun this weekend-if I can shake this flu bug.
