I want to paint the office, so I tried my sample out. This color is really for the family room, I am sick of the blue in there. I am thinking of painting the family room & the office the same color...they are both the brightest rooms in the house and can take this deeper grey...

Friday after Kiela came home from school we went to our local farmers market for some pumpkins to carve. Of course I had to snap a few photos-you can see how happy Kiela was about that in one of the photos! I can't believe that she didn't know that I was going to take photos, duh!!!

Homecoming day didn't go as I had dreamed it up in my head, as usual! I was thinking that we would be all done and home in time to take lots of gorgeous photos outside with her friend-that didn't happen. The nail shop messed it all up for me, lol. I am not very good with taking indoor NIGHT photos. Thank goodness for my speedlite & some photoshop magic-I was still able to get some really beautiful photos of Amira...

Tonight Amira went to her first homecoming, it's her freshmen year. We were shocked & happy that she wanted to go to the dance-and picked such a pretty dress. She wanted curly hair, high heels, and had her nails done-for the past few years she been dead set against polishing her nails. Makeup was something she has been wanting to wear since last year, today was the first time she had it fully done-and it was by me! I was shocked she had her eyebrows threaded while she was at the mail with friends, they did a really nice job. I just don't know who this young {beautiful} lady is...

Amira will be starting high school this year, OMG! So we have been telling her that she needs to jazz up her style. She shocked me with her shoe choice-they are so funky & cool. We were in Anthropologie in Georgetown when I saw this cute green blazer. I really didn't think she would like Anthropologie, but she did. She loved the little blazer and this cute ruched tee to go with it. Her backpack was something she received last Christmas and still loves it....

Since Mira got a new dresser...
We bought a new dresser-only because it was a great steal from the Crate & Barrel Outlet...
Her closet is still a work in progress. She needs a mirror or two and some baskets for the top shelves.
