Hi Luci...right now I just use one-my Big Kick. I LOVE it-because it is so simple and fast. I do use dies from different companies-I have not had a die that couldn't work with this machine. The only problem I have had is if I want to cut thicker papers-they don't usually work well with the thin metal dies. A few days ago I tried to cut through clear acetate with a wafer thin die, and it couldn't make a perfect clean cut;-(.
Today-I am sharing Laina Lamb Desings Picture This stamps & Cute Cameras 2 die-namics, and Centerpieces Framed Lovebirds die-namics. The camera/cellphone dies are super cute, and I love the stamps perfect sayings. The last card almost didn't happen, lol. The red doily dies are covering up tears from ribbon that was there. The lovebirds are sweet, I had to do what I could to save that card(it didn't turn out as I envisioned). I hope you enjoy today's release on my blog & MFT's blog/&links...
Today I am posting the last of my guest Case Study Challenge. I have to thank the gals of Case Study Challenge for having me be apart of their challenges-THANKS!!!! It was so exciting to see how they were inspired by my cards, and seeing how their fans were as well. It was fun for me to remake a few of my cards in slightly different ways-like this butterfly card...I pumped up the color with bright green & pinks. I now like my remakes more than originals!!
OK, I have lots of cooking to get started...have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Are you ready for another Case Study Challenge?! This is the third challenge using a card of mine as the inspiration-which is the last photo posted. I made a few slight changes from the original card, like the gray background with a stamped chalkboard look-instead of pattern paper. I also switched out the leaves for feathers. I hope you can play along, I have one more inspiration next week. Be sure to check out their amazing DT's work-pretty awesome!
Over the weekend I grabbed a few sheets of my favorite gold glitter & mirrored papers from Michael's-since they were on sale. I made a few Thanksgiving decorations with the golden papers & my Big Kick-a garland and some framed art. I only wish that my photos turned out better, I tried & tried! It is so hard (for me) taking photos of things with lots of white. Argh!
This month I am guesting on the Case Study blog, something that you could play along with! Each Thursday this month the Case Study blog will use a card of mine as inspiration-join in if you wish!! I will also be playing along with my new takes on my cards, lol!! Here is the first challenge based on the 'happy' card at the end of this post, I stayed pretty true to the original design. It was really exciting to see how the DT was inspired by my card, and I look forward to seeing what the Case Study blog fans come up with.
TCD's-You Are my Happy papers & heart, Family Story stamps
MFT's-bow die, frame die, letters die, circle die; StampinUp love die
Today-I have these Christmas cards on the MFT's Blog. Once I started making one Christmas card I really got into the holiday cheer and made quite a few! It was nice playing with the chalkboard look-I thought I didn't have the right stuff on-hand...so I used white embossing powder and some really old Pebbles chalking set-viola! I was so happy that I didn't need to buy stuff to do the chalkboard look!
Today I am the dt blogger for the TCD's dt blog-and I actually did a layout for my post! As I was going through the new You Are My Happy line picking what I wanted to use-I was inspired to use my favorite extra large butterfly die. Since the die is so large I felt I needed to do a layout with a few layered butterflies.
Ok, I have some new stamps & dies that I hope to have fun with this weekend. I hope that you all have a great weekend...
This weekend I was able to make something! This is a play off a Valentine love signs I did last year, I thought I would do a Halloween version(and soon a Christmas one). The signs are double-sided with a different version on each side. It has a modern clean look, I really want to make a few more! I also made the skull/butterfly banner last week.
