Each year I love to buy ornaments, but not for the tree. I love to use them in my eveyday decorations. I just hot glued this ornament to a box I decorated with ribbon...this will go into Kiela's room...

Nope, Heaven! Making it myself seems too much trouble-so I just buy it when I se it!!!

I commented before that I am a COLOR girl and could not live with cold colors. I painted my craft room after you, Keisha..not WHITE, but a watercolor ice blue. A lot paler than your room that is blue....I thought, I want it light, airy and it was so awesome...sometimes we have to give things a chance...I'm autumn colors but I love it, very icy, very delicate....besides my craft room, yours is the only one I really like...we like to fill it with pretty things, not just crafty and that's cool :)

Luci, it is so nice to hear that. I can only take color is small amounts, with a white base. And...my studio-if it's not filled with pretty things I would be one sad girl! It's the prety stuff that makes me love being in here. Thanks for the comment Luci!

My latest addiction-glitter ribbons spools!! LOVE love LOVE. I made all those necklaces on the dress form(lots of Making Memories pieces), they've been there for months-so pretty all together. I forget to wear them & that scarve.

I spent yesterday taking some new studio photos-while the sun was around. I just need to finish editing them...

What I did to make this-one 12x12 cardstock, one 12x12 vellum,1 1\2 in circle punch, snowflake punch...the larger snowflakes are store bought!!

This year I was better prepared for taking Halloween photos-since Kiela went to school like this it made it much easier for me when she came home. It was a nice night-except when she tripped and scarped her knee & hand. I had to tell her that she was fine, and not to let a little blood ruin her fun!

I took a few of Amira, but LaVaughn turned off the computer-he wanted us to watch Homeland (The best drama on TV).  I'll have to edit those photos tomorrow.

too many fun ideas...

--------------------------------------------------*---Too many fun ideas-I can't seem to stop! I bought this black wreath last year for an idea I thought would work-it didn't!! Now that I am on this accordion flower kick, this year I had an idea-that worked. I used all Making Memories papers for the wreath & garland-most of  the papers are from Toil & Trouble line. I just love decorating for holidays-I even have 8 more accordion flowers on my studio room floor I have to figure out what to do with. I might need a bigger house! Enjoy...

 Not only do I need to get ready for Santa, I have tons of photos to edit. I have New York photos still waiting on me-some of which are lost since LaVaughn didn't listen to me, argh. Thanksgiving photos & DC photos-my mom, lil sister (auntie Hilary) and her boyfriend Chris came for a visit. I need to take Christmas photos. Plus, edit Caitlyne's wedding photos. October is almost over...

 I am just not ready for the month to be over! I am not ready to take down the Halloween decor-I LOVE the black crows & the white pumpkins. I loved the way the spray painted gold & silver pumpkins came out-now I am addicted to spray painting things. Thank goodness that I can keep most things up through Thanksgiving. Most things were bought at either Michael's or JoAnn's...the crows were from M's(always on sale at 40 or 50% off) and a few of the small ones from Party City for $1.99. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

I have been obsessed with decor blogs-especially those that are shabby-french-swedish-modern-country, lol. I LOVE a white room. This blog inspired me to add Fred to my Halloween madness. I just love how simple she kept her Halloween decor. 

 

Last week I had to straighten up my closet a bit...it's generally this neat. My hangers were not in color order, nor were my tops, lol. That drives my crazy. Plus, I would like to redo the whole closet slowly over time. I want to find an amoire for that spot where the framed cork board is and add a round table in the center. And rearrange the shelves-maybe invest in Elfa. I have a dream to fulfill, lol!!

We are hoping that this helps with my serious back aches, it came today-woohoo. Don't ever buy a mattress from Sam's Club. Our pillow top fell within months of buying it. My sleep number is 35 and I can't wait to go to bed tonight!

Last Sunday we spent the day at a great farm not to far from home-the corn maze was simpler than we thought it would be. Kiela & Kendal seemed to have had a good time.

October means this...

 ghostly fun! More iphone photos. It's been just over 2 wks since I have had this phone-and 90% of my apps are photo apps!

Omg Katie, I LOVE them. I bought both faux & real-the real are just the best!! But I have been addicted to gold & silver spray paint for some of mine!!!

 

 

Jan 10 JBS kit...

 another fab JBS Mercantile kit this month!! My fave is the add on kit with the gorgeous Prima flowers I have been dying to have!! On my page I added vellum pink & white flowers cut using mySlice with the Basic 2 card!! I love stitching the heck out of the flash card to the page with green thread. I also broke in my MS loop edge punch for the first time. I'll update again soon.
