I am struggling with getting over a
learning curve-with PS elements 10! For Mother's Day I received a Mac Mini,
woohoo. It replaced our 10yr old pc(Kiela was a baby when we bought it)-that kept me hoping each time that I needed it today
wasn't the day it would crash! It was painfully slow, it wouldn't
boot-up at times...and it was the one I did my entire photo editing on with
CS3. Sadly with the new computer we couldn't afford to upgrade Photoshop CS:-(.
So I have to start all over with getting new actions and just learning the
basics again. I am so used to having everything saved as an action, woe is
me-poor me!! I don't miss that HUGE cpu;-P
Soooo, as I learn my way through
psElements I will share a couple of cards I did for the TCD DT blog last week.
Simple cards made with left over scraps from the Summer Stories line...
I am so addicted-to using dies and making cards! These cards I made with more NEW dies that came in the mail Saturday. I ordered 8 new MFT Die-Namics dies-love their dies. I like making my own flowers and the feather die is too cool. I have been struggling with scrapbooking and at least this is keeping me busy & happy!!
Yesterday these projects were featured on the Pink Paislee blog! It was so nice to do a guest spot for them and it was very cool to have a chance to play with their new lines-Luxe & Cottage Farms. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Luxe papers-I LOVE them. Graphic patterns of black/white and metallics-perfection! It was killing me waiting for my guest spot to post, because I wanted to keep using the Luxe papers for everything. Now I can use what bits I have left- freely!
Since it's turned into a rainy Sunday, I
thought I would update my blog-and then join LaVaughn in on taking an afternoon
nap! He is a bit whipped from being in the yard the last two days. We were
getting my deck garden started-so far we have cilantro, basil, rosemary, cherry
tomatoes and strawberries. It drives my crazy buying a huge bushel of cilantro
to make salsa; I waste 98% of it. I just wish I could have a lemon tree-we live on
fresh lemonade.
Friday, I made a card & some
tags with more of the new TCD's Summer Stories line-which of course I am
loving. And maybe I can entice you to love it too...
I just love a great graphic black and white pattern with pops of brights colors-and even some metallics thrown in! I had some time to spend making a few cards this weekend using up some leftover scraps.
.[TCD Friday blog project].
I was the blogger for Friday over at the TCD dt blog. I ended the week of 2 page layouts, it was nice to do a layout again. I used the Memories line for this page...
Keisha I needed that uplift and I knew where to go and get my fix. Your site has made my day. I showed an "expert" scrapper your site and she realized she was a newbie at the game. I giggled like a little schoolgirl. She was awe-struck. You know I love showing you off, I live vicarously through you girlfriend. Love everything you do....
Shay!! LOL, you are too kind! Hope you and the family are doing well. And are getting closer to heading back to the states. I don't know how you do it, miss ya!
Today is my blogging day on the TCD dt blog, and the theme for the week was home decor. I have had a busy week and had to rush home yesterday to do my project, sigh. This is another reason why I love my Big Kick-it is perfect for doing a FAST project! Especially when you are at a loss for ideas, doing something to be framed is a easy last minute project. Thank goodness I have extra frames on hand! This is seriously a 10 minute project, love that.
The gift box was done for the TCD dt blog last month-I forgot to post it on my blog. Both projects were made using the TCD Memories line.
I LOVE your cards. I always like your butterflies. Which die do you use for the large butterfly on the first card? I always have loved that one. Thanks and keep on inspiring us.
Opps, almost forgot your question...that yellow butterfly on the blk/wht thankful card was made with the Stampin Up Beautiful Butterflies die. I love it too!!
OMG!! I just discovered your blog and I'm blown away. Your work is simply gorgeous and your photography - well what can I say...stunning. I can't seem to get my camera to do what I want it to - time for some lessons, I think. Thank you so much for taking so much time and care when sharing your beautiful creations.
Hello Inky!! I am always glad to hear about someone discovering my blog, and enjoying it...THANKS! I wish I was better at photographing my family/people-that is where I need lessons!!
Hey Keisha, I came to email because I said, what's going on? I hadn't seen any updates, and there you were! Love the photos! can't wait to see them in the frames! Kiela is really growing! Say ruff to Lulu! Kathy
Time is ticking fast before the SU Sale-A-Bration is OVER-Friday March 22!! And then you won't be able to get that cool vine street embossing folder for free if you spend $50. Or a package of the clear vintage faceted buttons-like the one in the center of the butterfly free if you spend $50. Thanks for those who did make an order through Stella MacKay with my hostess code 6H22MY2G. I need to get my order in, we all just have until Friday March 22.
What?! Did I say digital scrapbooking? Yes...I Did!
I was asked to be a guest blogger for My Digital Studio blog during Digital Scrapbooking Day, which took me by surprise. I am not a digital scrapper-but I was excited to give it a try! I have only dabbled with digital scrapbooking and it has been a long time since I have used any digital embellishments for my traditional projects-mostly because my old pc is on the verge of...you know what!! And I am scared to add too much stuff to any of our Macs, lol.
I decided to do a totally digital page for the first time! I kept it as simple as possible, because I don't know how to do any of the extra special tricks that seasoned digi scrappers know how to do. The software was really a breeze to work with-thank goodness. If you are thinking about trying some digital stuff, I have to say that this was a really easy program to work with-I am not a tech savvy gal. I have to give a huge thanks to Andrea Bowden for all of her *help*!
Be sure to check out My Digital Studio blog for freebies & new products now through Nov 5th.
I use MDS 2 and I worked with Afternoon Daydream, A Split Second and Enjoying Everything kits
