A Bit East-coast

some Studio Calico, a little Making Memories and lots of photos...

 I took some time today to do a couple of pages. December Studio Calico kit was filled with the sweetest colors. It was hard to pick what to snip into first.
 I started this page with the Christmas line from MM 2 wks ago-I am getting a bit addicted to misting. I used some older chipboard letters & numbers for this page from various companies. I love the fact I can use them over & over for more misting!
 
 I am trying to pulled down the Christmas decorations. I hate how the house looks bare after it's all been taken down. I think I need to replace it with Valentine decor!
 
 
 
 
 I really love paperwhites and wanted to grow another batch. These just started blooming last week. Lulu loves the fire...I love the combination of all three together.
 
 
 

 I took so many photos of Kiela making cookies. Her hard work paid off with us having fun decorating them and eating them only after I took pictures of the prettiest ones-LaVaughn snuck a bite when I wasn't around...not Lulu.

 Boy, she is growing too fast. Her tops were not meant to be worn like that together. She dressed herself and probably thought this was a cute look...since we weren't going out I wanted to avoid a fight!
 she kept bugging me for that app and she was happy when I got it...and left her to play.

OMgosh Heaven...I am bored with the look of my blog and wanted to jazz it up some. And for some reason it won't add my side contents-ARGH. At first, it would not load the new design until the next day. So I am waiting to see if the rest will pop up after a day or two. If not I will go back to my old theme until I find one that will add everything. It will all come back soon!!!

Studio Calico Nov kit Napa Valley...

 I finally completed a couple lo's with this kit, yippie! I just feel like I never have enough time these days. Plus, the dentist has kept me busy-argh. I just have to make it through my third(and hopefully my last) step in getting a crown next week. Not having a good dentist while in China really hurt us all. I have never been through so much dental work, sigh!!

Ok, enough whining...this is my first two pages with this kit. I loved the letter stamps-which I mixed with an older SC set for the title. The girl silhouette stamp is also from SC, so is the butterfly stamp!

Home Goods home updates...

 

This week I did a quick update to Kiela's room. Her old lamp was literally on its last leg! So I had to make a Home Goods stop for a new lamp....and see if they still had this mirror I saw a month ago! They had ONE mirror left I had seen a while back when we bought some new things for our bedroom & powder room. Thank goodness it was still there after so long and it just makes her room sweeter!! I wasn't thrilled with the lamp choices they had and grab the best I could find. Once I set everything up in her room it was perfect. I grabbed her the jewelry holder & ceramic rose candle holder from Marshall's on my way home-love them to death. When Kiela came home she was thrilled & couldn't stop looking at it all. I got a million 'thank you mama' from her. And she said it was 'so pretty'.

 

I also have been spray painting old things in her room to make them less baby looking and more grown up...the duck was sprayed gold and her shell was sprayed silver

I often take Kiela to 5 Below to spend her allowance, she had to have the pink disco ball. I strung it up with pretty purple ribbon.

I just had to have this mirror from Home Goods, now I just need an orchid or paper whites here.

We also found this velvet bench at Home Goods.

We finally painted the main floor powder room a sweet shade of gray & added this cool new mirror I found at Home Goods-I love it. I thought that the print would be nice, but I hate it-lol! I really want some framed butterflies & moths I've seen on Etsy instead. Although, it does look way better...I feel it still needs something.

My first paper whites are growing! It has been about 3 weeks since I planted them. I can't wait for the flowers to bloom.

 

I am so GRAY and black! I just seem to always buy these colors. Even down to my nails...love love love this color by Sally Hanson gray by gray. Usually I wear a nude shade but for our trip to NYC I want more dramatic!
