it's going to be a busy week for me. Starting tomorrow-Amira turns 13, whoa!!! I need to get myself together and make her a card to add it her gifts I will lay out for her to wake up to in the morning. Not that she needs much-she scored a PSPgo
& a Kindle from Christmas. THEN this Sat Kiela is turning 7yrs old. We have yet to recover from Christmas and we have to turn right around and do birthdays.
Last week I had to do a few CHA projects for Making Memories-in the top photo you can see some of that madness. Good thing Jenni Bowlin needed a project that was already done-less pressure! I just received her new line over the weekend-I am doing a Valentine album now. I hope to have that posted later this week. I am hunting my mailbox for the new Love Struck line from Making Memories. This is my fave time to create stuff. I just LOVE Valentine products. I can't wait to make some butter cookies with icing & sprinkles!
I took these photos today of my almost daily eats. I make us all a fresh fruit smoothie with yoplait banana/strawberry yogurt everyday. Mira loves it. Kiela loves just the yogurt. And we have really gotten into making our own pizza. We go months not eating fast food. I make a simple fresh tomato sauce that I would always eat when we lived in Naples-I get 10 roma tomatoes, lots of fresh garlic, salt, pepper...cook it til the tomatoes turn to mush-done!! Another big fave that Mira loves to make herself. Looks good, right?! I am so full now.
I have been longing for this gorgeous jewelry holder from Pottery Barn. I saw it at that store and could not leave w/o it. It was bigger that I was thinking but I still love it. I need to add some sand or stones to it-it is shaky.
Tech-ie girls...it was LaVaughn's big idea to get Amira the Kindle. It was not on her Christmas list-she loves it. We were tired of running to Borders weekly to get Mira this & that vampire series books. She has been reading through these books like crazy-and we love that she loves to read now. I had to invest in a charging station for her. She makes us proud-with one B and all the rest in A's.
Love the pizza and smoothie photos. Have you tried Dannon's All Natural yogurt? We switched to that in our smoothies, because Yoplait is full of HFCS. It's so good, without the worries.
Love the jewelry holder. You have such impeccable taste.

I couldn't help but notice your shirt. Are those fabric flowers? Too cute and your smoothie pic has me wanting one now. The jewelry holder looks like a perfect gift for myself but also for a gift to my SIL for either Chrismas or her birthday this year.

I almost bought the kindle for my son for Christmas BUT I love the book store just as much as he does, like to smell the pages of the book, like to see it sitting in my purse, like to see him carry them every time we go on a car ride!!! I have had that smoothie idea for quite some time, yet to act on it, looks YUMMY. Trying to convice hubby of the pizza idea, I picture mine with zucchini, tomatos, mushrooms and lots of cheese. I will definately be making the sauce, Im sure that will win him over. What do use for your crust?
Last thing didnt mean to write a book LOL
I luv that you have lived so many awesome places, how exciting!! Maybe I should have let my then boyfriend, now hubby enlist:)
Happy Birthday to the girls!!

I got a Kindle for Christmas, too, and I really love it. I would advise that you get her a protective cover for it, though. I was really afraid of damaging my screen. Amazon sells a variety of different ones. I got a cute red leather one. Happy birthday to your girlies!

Great post and I so want a smoothie right now but it's too cold. Right now in my neck of the woods it -1 and I'm freezing even though I'm in inside. Happy Early birthday to both Amira and Kiela. Also thanks for reminding me about birthdays in Jan. I was thinking of a Dec baby but I think I'm moving that plan up a month or two (at least I'm going to try to). I know I'm really behind in your blog but are you all back in the States.
