MFT's May New Release Countdown-day 2

Boy, did I play up my graphic side with color and patterns! One of the sneak peeks today are four new STAX sets- Cross-Stitch Circles STAX, Cross-Stitch Square STAX, Cross-Stitch Rectangles STAX and Cross-Stitch Oval STAX die-namics. I used the rectangles & circles on my cards today. The first card I did some masking with my stencils to give the circle a cool stripe mix to play off the Sweater Stitch background stamp(i love that stamp). And then LLD's Flamingos die-namics & Tickled Pink stamp set is super flirty! I love seeing all the amazing ideas that were done with the flamingo by the dt girls-they are so creative. They make this simple girl wish I had done that too!

MFT's May New Release Countdown-day 3

 Today is the halfway point of the countdown! Just a couple more days of sneak peeks, just a couple more days before you will be able to start shopping! Taking center stage today for my peeks is the Take the Stage die-namics. How cute are these stage curtains! Just think of all the possibilities you can create performing on this stage. MFT's May New Release Countdown-day 4

Welcome to the farm? Day 2 of the MFT's new release countdown is all about farm life! The Whole Herd stamp set, The Whole Herd die-namics, Cow Print stencil and the Barn die-namics are the products that I used to make my cards today. I am really digging the cow print! And the barn is also pretty sweet-it pushed my out of my comfort zone! I made farm life pretty hip today;-).

April Ingenious Inking Challenge – Color-on-Color

 

This is my first go at the Ingenious Inking Challenge! I thought that I would jump in on this challenge because it seemed like it was something that I would enjoy. I love being creative-I am just a lazy crafter! I like simple-the less steps for me the better. My card for today's challenge is pretty simple-I used graduating circles to create sort of a 'bull's eye'! I started with the largest circle and colored inward with blending sponges. I really like how it turned out-after scrapping two other ideas!

Die-namics Design - ABC & 123

 I love the theme for today's projects-ABC's & 123's! Letters & numbers die-namics. It gave me a reason to use my favorite letters & number dies. I love simple lettering with clean lines-they are such a classic. Lately, I tend to enjoy using the uppercase dies the most. I also prefer to have my letters pop off my project, flat is boring! The Peek-A-Boo letters are so cool smeared with some pink Gelatos-I really love this die-namic set. It has the clean & simple lines that I like-the holes gives it that perfect unexpected twist on a classic.

Creative Construction with Blueprints-Sweet Scallops

 

If you are not already a MFT's Blueprints fan-you should be! If you are not sure of what they are-they are die-namic(die) sets that come with sketches. Which can make card making a breeze for those who like a bit of direction. I often like to do my own thing with them. I also love to mix them with different sets & die-namics. Today we are working with Blueprints that have scallops! Blueprints 4, 6, 8, 9, 14 and 22 have cool scallop elements in each set. For the card I made today I used BP 6 with a bit from BP22. BP6 is one of my favorite sest to use-I use that tag on so many of my cards. This is the first time that I have used the scallops!

 

There is more inspiration with Blueprints on the MFT's Blog. If you haven't tried any of the Blueprints die-namics I hope you have been inspired to give them a try.

 Hello! I hope that you all had a fabulous Easter-we sure did! I spent a little bit of my Easter morning working on today's sneak peeks. I love my mornings in my studio while everyone's still sleeping. There was a Mad Men marathon on as I worked-I so needed to catchup on it. Peeks for today-Stitched Circle Frames die-namics(which is perfect for layering with other MFT's circle die-namics), LLD Organized Life Planner stamp set and LLD Family Life Planner stamp set. Always loving the cute planner stamps that Laina does-I think she's covered every life event!
