Ellie & Kristina, it is hard to leave. But I am excited to wake up and get back in that room every morning!! I am trying to make it more on the chic/glamorous side and I have purged a bit to help keep things simple. I have so many ideas I hope to add to my space soon. Thanks!

H, just a simple white storage box from Ikea is what I use. I know Michael's sells tons of keepsake boxes with different patterns(they are just not my style, lol). I put them in a protective sleeve and pop them in the box! I'll have to snap a photo one day-I don't keep them in my scraproom.

Thanks, Caroline...There is a Amazon widget on the right that has the camera & stuff I use. We also get great natural light throughout the house-which helps tons.

 

i love a good mail day...

 For the past two days it has been a good mail day. Boxes of new stuff from Making Memories, Jenni Bowlin and Studio Calico!! It was hard to pick which goodies to play with first. I went with the fab new Valentine line Je t'Adore from Making Memories-it stole my heart! This is the page I was able to do with it today...

Hey Heaven...For bulky items I don't want to be smashed I place them in keepsake boxes! And yes, Lulu is crated when we are not home. We are working to be able to let her loose while we are gone. At this moment she just is not ready for that. We tried last week and she set off the alarm, lol!

Sarah, I am guessing that gd is for Great Dane...and that is a lot to handle (even in puppy stage)! I used to long for one-until I saw one drooling!! Lulu has two beds and she had better not chew the one that is left.

Jill, we are totally thankful for all that we are able to do. I am VERY thankful LaVaughn is so handy-saves us so much money!! And it makes him proud to say he did this or that! Yes, that stamp is an older stamp from SC-not sure if it was apart of a kit or sold separately.

 Lulu was a very bad dog last week! This only happens when Amira is watching her. We always keep her busy with bones and she usually only chews on her bones. I think she was getting back at us because we make her go to her bed when she gets too wild or when guest come!! Last week I could not laugh at this photo!!
 
 The kitchen is a mess!! We hope to have the backsplash up by the weekend-the hood is very cool!

some Studio Calico, a little Making Memories and lots of photos...

 I took some time today to do a couple of pages. December Studio Calico kit was filled with the sweetest colors. It was hard to pick what to snip into first.
 I started this page with the Christmas line from MM 2 wks ago-I am getting a bit addicted to misting. I used some older chipboard letters & numbers for this page from various companies. I love the fact I can use them over & over for more misting!
 
 I am trying to pulled down the Christmas decorations. I hate how the house looks bare after it's all been taken down. I think I need to replace it with Valentine decor!
 
 
 
 
 I really love paperwhites and wanted to grow another batch. These just started blooming last week. Lulu loves the fire...I love the combination of all three together.
 
 
 

 I took so many photos of Kiela making cookies. Her hard work paid off with us having fun decorating them and eating them only after I took pictures of the prettiest ones-LaVaughn snuck a bite when I wasn't around...not Lulu.  

 

 
 
 I had to promise her an app for these photos...
 
 
 
 Boy, she is growing too fast. Her tops were not meant to be worn like that together. She dressed herself and probably thought this was a cute look...since we weren't going out I wanted to avoid a fight!
 she kept bugging me for that app and she was happy when I got it...and left her to play.

OMgosh Heaven...I am bored with the look of my blog and wanted to jazz it up some. And for some reason it won't add my side contents-ARGH. At first, it would not load the new design until the next day. So I am waiting to see if the rest will pop up after a day or two. If not I will go back to my old theme until I find one that will add everything. It will all come back soon!!!

Happy New Year-wow 2011 ...

 I'll start out the New Year with my JBS Mercantile Jan kit layouts. This first one was done New Year's Eve in a bit of a rush. And the pup page was done a few days ago. Of course it is another stunning kit and I just love the vintage papers...I used a few of them inside the wood frames on the first page.

 
 
 
 
 New Year's Eve night Kiela & I made some butter cookies to decorate . I let her do most of the work. And she loved being able to roll out the dough all on her own. I just snapped away!! Amira was in her room reading-as usual! LaVaughn finished taking the carpet off the stairs(something I started while he was at work Wednesday;-)).
 
 My last photos for 2010! I hope you all have a wonderful New Year!!!!!!!!

a Christmas layout today...{{{out to ScrapTrends}}}

 I did this page last night, found some inspiration! I played with my Slice for the trees& numbers (falala card)...Martha snowflake punch for the vellum flakes...and MM papers & stickers. JBS calendar. Hero Arts merry definition stamp.

I know it's been asked before-the photos were taken with my phone and I used Infinicam app for the photo frame! Sorry, I kept forgetting to answer that question.

 

Studio Calico Nov kit Napa Valley...

 I finally completed a couple lo's with this kit, yippie! I just feel like I never have enough time these days. Plus, the dentist has kept me busy-argh. I just have to make it through my third(and hopefully my last) step in getting a crown next week. Not having a good dentist while in China really hurt us all. I have never been through so much dental work, sigh!!

Ok, enough whining...this is my first two pages with this kit. I loved the letter stamps-which I mixed with an older SC set for the title. The girl silhouette stamp is also from SC, so is the butterfly stamp!

The loopy punch is from Martha Stewart.
